Dear Parents

TRIP

This month Nursery, Reception A, B and Harmony groups went to theatre on January 25 th to see "Gölgenin Canı"  (The Soul of the Shadow)

DINOSAURS

One of our topics in January was "Dinosaurs" The children had several different activities in this regard. We believe they must have been talking about it at home as well.

PROFESSIONS

We had a wonderful explanation about " Archaeology" from Mrs. Çağla Yılmaz. Apart from playgroups, our other students also joined this activity. They found it interesting and enjoyed seeing the slides. When it was time to look for the treasures, they were excited to find the fossils and the other objects hidden under the sand. However, the ultımate fun was the gold chocolates. We really are grateful to Mrs.Yılmaz for her efforts to make this happen.

COUNTRY OF THIS MONTH

Japan was the country of the month in January for 6 years old children in Harmony class. They put on Japaneese costumes and make up and talked about Japaneese habits. Our impression was that they really had great fun..

TEACHER

Mrs.Hatice Kumral is our English Language  teacher . She will be responsible both for Playgroup B and Reception A classes.

BEING ON TIME

We noticed that after Bayram holiday, our students started to come very often after 9:00 o'clock. Please remember to bring or send your children to school on time. This is very important for them to get used to adapting  themselves to the daily and hourly schedules.

NO ORNAMENTS  IN SCHOOL

We would like to remind you that no jewellery is allowed in school. This includes all forms of bracelets, rings and necklaces. Children wearing these will be asked to remove them.

THE WEATHER

Finally we are getting back to the normal characteristics of our wintertime weather. Our students go out to our garden after their snack or lunch time  to have some fresh air and to get a chance to play  snowball. Please send your children with warm and spare clothes with name tags on them.

HEALTH

It is reported that many students and schools are suffering from influenza.    If your children have strong cough or fever please do not send them to the school until they feel well. It is important to keep the infection under control to prevent effecting the other children.

Yours Sincerely

Gence Preschool
