Dear Parents,
The first Teacher-Parent meetings will be held between 23rd – 25th of November and the 1st - 4th of December 2009. At these meetings, you will be given 30 minutes to gather and or convey information about the development of your child in private. We advice you to note down the questions you would like to ask your child’s class teacher during the meeting. Please try to be punctual for the meeting, in order not to upset the time schedule.
THANK YOU
The Nursery, Reception and Kindergarten students are enjoying studying POCKETS and Pre Nursery students are enjoying My English Adventure. As you all know, we are sending the workbooks home every Friday and we are receiving all of them worked on neatly. We would like to thank all of you for your cooperation and support.
HALLOWEEN PARTY
We had fun Halloween Parties in every classroom. The children visited our rooms to frighten us for Trick or Treat. We would like to thank all of you for the creative costumes and accessories you sent to school for that very special day. You can visit our web-site to check the photos about Halloween in the photo gallery and events.
THE WEATHER and LABELLING
It is nearly December now and the weather is getting colder and colder each and everyday. Please make sure that your child has warm clothes in their spare clothes boxes in their classrooms. As you will be sending new, warmer spare clothes to school please check their labels again.
Although we can not go out to the garden as often as we were, we still try to take them out when the weather is fine. If you send in woolen hats, scarves, mittens or gloves please do not forget to label them. If you do not want your child to play in the garden, please inform your child’s teacher.
HEALTH
At this present time there are no confirmed cases of swine flu in our school.
Our precautions and plans are continuing for H1N1/09 virus.
This is the period when the children are more susceptible to illness. We would like to remind you again that when you are sending in medicine, please do not forget or hesitate to fill in the “Over the Counter Medication Form” and label the bottles with the proper time and dosage your child will take because it is important to apply the correct dosage at the right time.
If your child is on ‘Antibiotics’ avoid sending him/her to school for the first 36 hours for the good of their classmates’ health. It is better for your child to have a rest at home in a cozy environment.
ALL AROUND THE WORLD: EGYPT
This month, we have been working on ‘Egypt’. We would appreciate it if you are able to send in any materials, such as brochures, little souvenirs, Egyptian recipes, children’s games or anything you think would be useful, related to Egypt.
