Dear Parents,

We celebrated Easter on 10th. April. It was great fun for the children to participate in decorating our school, preparing their bunny hair bands and Easter baskets and decorating Easter eggs. It was really exciting to see them hunting eggs with their bunny ears and Easter baskets.

We were really proud to see them march with their flags and their costumes on 22nd. April, on Children’s Day. You can visit our web-site to check the photos about Easter and Natinal Independence & Children’s Day in the photo gallery.

SONGS
We have been teaching our students many nursery rhymes. If you have difficulty in following the rhymes, you can always contact our teachers to have the lyrics or the full version of the songs.

THE WEATHER
Spring is coming. Although it seems as if it is getting hotter and hotter everyday, please consider the unstable weather conditions while clothing your child. And, please do not forget to check your child’s spare clothes’, which are already at school in their lockers, properness with your child’s teacher. And if you need to send in new spare clothes, please do not forget to put name tags on them.
                                 
HEALTH
Our doctor is continuing to come to school every THURSDAY to check all our children. If there is something serious about your child’s health condition, our doctor will be contacting you about your child both to give you information about his/her health condition at first hand and recommend medication if necessary.

Please do not forget or hesitate to fill in the form, when you send in medicine. And never forget that it is important for your child to get the proper dosage on time.

ALL AROUND THE WORLD
We will be having a close look at Holland this month. Your child will be learning where Holland is and the features about Holland (like tulips, mills, etc.) So, if you have any materials, such as brochures, little souvenirs, recipes, games or anything you think would be useful, about Holland, we will be glad to exhibit or show them to children.

ANNOUNCEMENT
In order to contribute to 23 April National Independence and Children’s Day, General Directorate of State Theatres is organizing a festival, 5th “Damsels, Masters” International Children Theatres festival, between 25-30 April 2009 in Ankara. Within the scope of the festival, local and foreign children plays, workshops, seminars and exhibitions will be taking place.

Within the scope of this festival, we will be attending some plays and some of the workshops with our Nursery, Reception and Kindergarten classes. You will be informed  about the dates and the time of those activities beforehand.

LAST WORD
Finally, we have finished our last parents-teacher meeting for this year. We hope that you find it informative. It was great pleasure for us to share both the development and the magic moments of your child with you. And it was very pleasing to have feedback you gave us about the reflections and effects of our school you experience at home.
